Sebastian Vettel Q&A: The car feels fantastic

Posted by F1 news admin under Formula-1 news

Even if Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel doesn’t take the drivers’ title this weekend, one thing that will be remembered for years to come will be his qualifying successes during the 2010 season. And after clinching his tenth pole position in 19 races at Abu Dhabi, Vettel is certainly happy with his car around the Yas Marina circuit

With Red Bull more dominant than ever, and Ferrari taking a step forward, McLaren seem to have lost their way at recent rounds. The MP4-25 is certainly in the midst of a dip in form, and driver Jenson Button seems to have borne the brunt of its drop in pace in qualifying. Button hasn’t qualified higher than fourth all season and at the last round in Hungary failed to make it into the top-10 shootout. Speaking to his official website, Button reviews his Budapest race and the season so far

But with the MP4-25′s tendency to perform better in the race than in qualifying, Hamilton isn’t ruling out a podium finish on Sunday

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel once again took the top grid slot during qualifying for Sunday’s German Grand Prix. But with Fernando Alonso a very close second and his Ferrari team mate Felipe Massa in third, Mark Webber found himself down in fourth in the other RB6. Ferrari it seems have made genuine progress here and both they and McLaren will pose a very real threat to the blue cars on Sunday. We take a team-by-team look at how all the runners performed

With or without its latest front-wing update, it seems the rest of the pack will have their work cut out to stay in touch on Sunday. We take a team-by-team look at where things stand after qualifying for the British Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel Q&A: It feels good to be back

Posted by F1 news admin under Formula-1 news

On Saturday in Valencia Sebastian Vettel took his fourth pole position of the season, and Red Bull’s eighth. Although they’ve struggled, on occasion, to convert their dominance in qualifying into race results, Red Bull – and Vettel – hope that, with a little luck on Sunday, victory at the European Grand Prix could be theirs for the taking
